Born in Harare, Zimbabwe in 1963, Teri-Lin was literally born into film with family members involved in all aspects of the industry both locally and internationally.  Her father, Robbi Hinds a Director/Cinematographer, opened the first commercials production company in South Africa, so it was only natural that Teri-Lin made this career choice after a brief sojourn at medical school on an Anglo American scholarship.

Her film career started in 1985 under the mentorship of Sue MacCarthy, the doyenne of the South African film industry, and owner of one of the most successful and well-established production houses in Johannesburg.  Teri-Lin progressed quickly and was producing TV commercials by the age of 26.  The next three years saw a shift in focus – Teri-Lin’s organizational skills and creative talent were perfectly combined on feature films where she co-ordinated the art department for movies such as Disney’s “The Air Up There” and Tobe Hooper’s “The Mangler” among others.

Teri-Lin moved to Cape Town in 1994 when, at the end of apartheid, the facilitation sector of the industry boomed.  She produced for one of the leading service production houses and in 1999 opened her own production company, Reeleyes Film Production Services.  Teri-Lin has produced or facilitated over 600 commercials for clients in France, Belgium, Germany, Holland, UK, USA, UAE and South Africa.
In 1996, Teri-Lin production managed the South African leg of Ridley Scott’s “White Squall”.  In 2002 she was the SA Producer on “Monsieur N”, a film directed by Antoine de Caunes about Napoleon’s last years on St Helena Island, which was nominated for 5 César Awards.  2004 saw the production of Teri-Lin’s career highlight to date – “Lord of War” directed by Andrew Niccol and starring Nicolas Cage, Jared Leto and Ethan Hawke.  Mr Cage had this to say when shooting wrapped in Cape Town: “In my 24 years of film-making, I have never worked with such a professional crew!”

2004 also saw the production of Richard E. Grant’s directorial debut “Wah-Wah”, an autobiographical coming of age film set in Swaziland starring Gabriel Byrne, Julie Walters, Emily Watson, Miranda Richardson and Nicholas Hoult.  In 2005 Teri-Lin produced “Le Rainbow Warrior” a French TV Film about the sinking of the Greenpeace ship in Auckland.

Teri-Lin is the single mother of two gorgeous teenage daughters.  They live in Noordhoek.
Teri-Lin has earned an excellent reputation with clients, crew, suppliers and peers alike.  She currently holds a portfolio on the Executive Committee of the Commercial Producers Association, and is a board member of the Cape Film Commission.
